The Lantero Group and the Tomillo Foundation reinforce their collaboration, thus reaffirming their commitment to society. Through their collaboration agreement, motivated by the common interest of building a better society, the existing relationship between both organisations is strengthened.
The scope of the collaboration between the Lantero Group and the Tomillo Foundation focuses on three main areas of action: employment, training and social action. To date, the collaboration between the two parties was aimed solely at developing training and employment programmes for young people in disadvantaged situations. With the new agreement, and in line with its sustainability strategy, initiatives aimed at social action are incorporated and projects aimed at training and employability are strengthened.
Among the projects aimed at boosting the employability of young people in difficult situations, the generation of a permanent employment exchange is proposed, where temporary jobs and internship contracts will be offered for different disciplines, both administrative and technical, within the different divisions of the organisation.
We also want to promote training as a lever for access to the labour market through training programmes for students of the Fundación Tomillo on the packaging industry, recycling and sustainability, among others.
Finally, through volunteering initiatives and environmental awareness workshops we will promote environmental care and the importance of recycling for our future.
About Fundación Tomillo:
Fundación Tomillo is a private, non-profit, non-denominational and independent entity, which was founded in 1984 with the aim of contributing to social improvement and personal development. We work so that children and young people, from vulnerable backgrounds, have opportunities to access a comprehensive and quality education that allows them to develop their full potential and be protagonists of their future.
Our activity is carried out by a team of people made up, for the most part, of teachers, pedagogues and psychologists, who develop the different programmes aimed at children, adolescents and families, as well as training and socio-occupational guidance.
We also have an area of innovation and studies from which we provide advice on social projects, evaluation and measurement of social impact.
At Fundación Tomillo we are convinced that educational equity is one of the fundamental levers for the reduction of poverty and social inequality.
